Zachary Surge is a fictional character created in the Pokemon Universe. He was created by Zack Graves (Zachary-Sensei) in 2000. He has had many changes in his lifetime due to his creator trying to "keep up".
BIO:
Zachary Surge was born as the son of Lt. Surge, the Vermillion City Gym Leader. His mother was the daughter of Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket. He has a sister who is currently an Executive of Team Rocket. When he was about 10 years old, he left to attend Pokemon Tech along with his childhood friend, Jessica Miyamoto. They befriended a boy named James Morgan on the way to PKMN Tech. Soon after arriving at PKMN Tech, Jessie and James flunked out and left to join a bicycle gang. ZS remained at the institute, making several friends including: Joy, Cassidy, and several others. He also made an enemy named Butch. He owned one pokemon at the time, a blue-eyed Pichu, given to him by his father as a "starter" pokemon. Soon, it came apparent that ZS's intellect, especially on PKMN, was abnormally high. He graduated with highest honors at age 12 (it was a two year institute). His name became known by the brightest minds of PKMN Research. This fame attracted the attention of Team Rocket and his grandfather. At the time, Team Rocket was thought to be a research facility located in Viridian City. ZS was offered a job there as a genetics researcher. He met up with Jessie and James once more. Butch was already a grunt at Team Rocket, and Cassidy joined soon after when she realized ZS was there. ZS was included in the RE-RE-1701 and L4J projects. ZS soon realized that TR was using these projects for world domination and sabotaged the first project by bonding with the subject. TR caught on to his plan, and sent his partner, Rochelle, to knock him out and take him to a genetic operating room before he could bond with L4J (but he did sneak a trace amount of his DNA into the subject. He was then subjected to genetic experimentation. His pichu had evolved and the researchers took it and forced it to learn the move surf. ZS was genetically altered with several pokemon types, including ditto, eevee, mew, pikachu, and a few trace amounts of other types. When trying to use a serum to brainwash ZS, TR used a radioactive substance to accelerate the process. Meanwhile, his pikachu enlished the help of another pikachu, called Peachy, and attacked the operator. The pokemon were caught in the radioactive waves, and their voices altered so they could speak English. They woke ZS from his sleep. ZS's mind was altered so badly, he did not remember the surgeries. His psychic powers kicked in, and he teleported himself and the two pikachu to his last safe haven: Vermillion Gym.
After awaking in his bed, he only remembered graduating from Pokemon Tech. The only visual affect of alterations was permenant highlights in his hair. His pikachu tried to explain what happened but caught ZS offguard while speaking in English. His pikachu did his best but sighed, then noticing a thunderstone on the counter. He asked to use it, because he knew he'd be stronger as a raichu. Thus, Surfin' Raichu was born. Peachy, however, was content just being able to dance.
ZS then set out on a trainer journey, trying to become strong enough to find out about his lost memory of Team Rocket. He spent three years training. He became well-known for his trainer status as well as intellectual status. He met several people on his journey, including an up-and-coming Pokemon Watcher named Tracey Sketchit. He achieved Hall of Fame status as a trainer. When he was sixteen, he re-joined Team Rocket to find out about his lost memory. He was quickly paired with a girl name Brans as his partner. His dorm was with Jessie and James'. The three were happy to be reunited. Shortly after, ZS inpregnated Jessie after a party. James and Brans had to leave after the his triplets were born. Team Rocket was estatic, because ZS was intended to be a "Breeder". They soon sent him away to an island called Mariah Mell where he was to raise the children.
Shortly after their birth, ZS snuck into Team Rocket's databases and learned of his help with the RE-RE and L4J projects. He quickly set out to find the two anthro pokemon creatures. After finding Moy Mell (a planetoid), his latent bond with RE-RE (now called Rae Rae) was activated. He then regained all the memories from the two projects. Due to the aging process, the two anthros looked a bit older, so he called them his older sisters. His bond with Elly was only by the small strand of DNA he placed in her years ago. Thats all they needed, however, to activate their bond. The psychic bond changed ZS's form into that of a Raichu-anthro. The three's purpose was to breed, and that happened. Elly had four live children, and one still-birth. Rae Rae bore two children, one of ZS and one of her husband Josh. ZS had five children in all, but it is unknown if one of the triplets was his or James.
Many adventures happened, and ZS found a new hobby: Zone Hopping. He found a chaos emerald and used it to lift his island of Mariah Mell into the air. The island could send ZS into different worlds. He found that his appearance changed in each world. This zone-hopping inadvertently set off a chain of events that would end in his planet's demise. The planet was altered and a "copy" of it created under the floating island. ZS was removed from existense by a Higher Power. The copied planet was destroyed and his children honored (see The New RPG).
ZS is presumed dead. However, his life force was probably split into several pieces to be reborn later on. The original Pokemon Universe was left unharmed by the destruction of the copy. A piece of ZS's life force may have been reborn on the PKMN world as a pikachu, but that remains to be seen.
